Outreach Services

We offer free outreach service to local patrons who are homebound due to illness, injury, or advanced age. Books (including large print), audiobooks, videocassettes, and DVDs are selected by a UAPL librarian based on each patron’s interest.

Homebound / Care Centers & Retirement Communities

The Upper Arlington Public Library provides outreach service to area residents who are homebound because of weather conditions, permanent disability, temporary injury or illness.

Library volunteers (and staff members) deliver to residents in their homes, care centers and senior residences. All of our circulating materials are available for delivery.

Available materials include:

  • Regular & Large print books
  • Fiction & Nonfiction DVDs
  • Audio Books
  • Music CDs
  • Reader's Advisory
  • Reference Services
  • Applications for talking book service*

For more information about this service, call the Outreach Librarian at (614) 486-9621, Extension 128.

*Through a national network of cooperating libraries, National Library Service administers a free library program of braille and audio materials circulated to eligible borrowers in the United States by postage-free mail.
